Program: Franciscan Olympia Fields
Your goal as an EMRA leader: I aim to disseminate passion and support for the art of sonography among EMRA members in a way that strengthens our community, builds interdisciplinary connections, and creates leaders in our field. By making ultrasound education more accessible, we turn a niche technique into a new industry standard and improve the field of emergency medicine for residents and patients alike.
Why get involved in a professional society? Local and regional advocacy have taught me a great deal about the best methods to support my coresidents, understand my patients, and strengthen my residency program. At ACEP22, I met many of the EMRA committee members responsible for facilitating educational events and their devotion to emergency residents on a national scale was contagious. I want to escalate to national leadership to continue to augment my skillsets as a leader by supporting and serving current and future residents alike.
What is the best advice you've ever received? The only time to set the bar low is when playing limbo.
