Tactical EMS Travel Scholarship

Purpose of Award

Mass casualty incidents, particularly mass shootings, are becoming increasingly common. Emergency medicine physicians-in-training need to have access to opportunities that will prepare them to be leaders in the tactical medical community. The purpose of this award is to help bridge a knowledge and training deficit present in many residency programs with respect to provision of medical care in the civilian tactical environment. This travel award will assist three EMRA members with travel expenses to attend tactical medicine training through a partnership with Mercyhealth in Janesville, Wisconsin.
