Jessica Mason, MD

Jessica Mason, MD (@JessMasonMD) earned her medical degree at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and completed her emergency medicine residency training at MetroHealth Medical Center and The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jessica combined her background in performing arts and love for medical education to create podcasts and procedural videos. She started podcasting as a medical student in 2012 with Med Forum, then co-hosted The Hippo EM Resident Call Room through residency, and then began collaborating with the amazing team at Emergency Medicine: Reviews and Perspectives (EM:RAP). She returned to California for a fellowship in Medical Education at UCSF Fresno where she is now the Fellowship Director and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine. She is also fortunate to work with EM:RAP as the Managing Editor of Continuous Core Content (C3), EM:RAP HD video productions, the board review course Crunch Time, and a Deputy Editor of EM:RAP. She is an Associate Editor of the upcoming digital textbook CorePendium. She is also serving as the conference chairperson for California ACEP’s AdvancED conference.

Over 400 applications were reviewed by the selection committee, comprised of Steven J. Stack, MD, MBA, FACEP, Zach Jarou, MD, Omar Z. Maniya, MD, MBA, Hannah Hughes, MD, MBA, Ven Subramanyam, MD, Erin Karl, MD, and Jazmyn Shaw.
